1910’s

The French singer Édith Piaf was born (nee Édith Giovanna Gassion) in Belleville, Paris on this day 1915. Piaf was one of France’s best known singers, and had the nickname The Little Sparrow. Her best known songs include La Vie en rose and Non, je ne regrette rien.
