1990’s

During a Guns N’ Roses show on this day 1991 at Riverport Amphitheater near St. Louis, lead singer Axl Rose requested that security confiscate a fan’s video camera. Impatiently, Rose jumped into the crowd unloading punches.  After, returning to the stage he declared “Thanks to the lame-ass security, I’m going home!” then departed. It was then all hell broke loose, with an estimated 2,500 fans staging a riot, 20 police and 60 fans were injured.
