The AC/DC album Stiff Upper Lip is 20 years old today! Allmusic said “each song has a riff so catchy, it feels like you’ve heard it for years.” Well that’s because you have! It’s no Highway to Hell or Back in Black but still worth a revisit.

The 1989 eponymous Indigo Girls album is 30 years old today! I’d never heard this album before, what a gem. The opener Closer to Fine is a fantastic tune. The duo were nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy (losing to Milli Vanilli). Time for another listen? indigogirls.com

The recent collaboration Lotta Sea Lice between Aussie Courtney Barnett and the former lead guitarist of The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile is an interesting pairing. The opener Over Everything is probably the stand-out track, but an enjoyable LP.
