Yours to Keep, the debut solo album by The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, released in 2006, is a ray of sunshine, compared to his normal day job. There is a guest appearance by old school friend Sean Lennon playing piano, bass guitar and backing vocals. Charming.

The Coldplay album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends is 10 years old today! The band’s 4th LP, named after the Spanish phrase, translated as “Live the life” was partly produced by Brian Eno, and includes the singles Violet Hill and Viva la Vida.
