1960’s

1968The Beatles Hey Jude became the UK Number One Single, where it stayed for 2-weeks. The song was the first single on Apple Records, and at the time the longest single ever to top the British charts.

1950’s

1950 – The Aerosmith lead-guitarist Joe Perry was born (Anthony Joseph Pereira) in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Perry is often considered as one of the great rock guitarists.
