The 2013 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds album Push the Sky Away received universal acclaim. The Guardian described it “funeral-paced songs and stripped-down music that calls to mind Leonard Cohen fronting James Blake minimalism.

The 2nd album by the Welsh band Catatonia, International Velvet is 20 years old today. Includes the hit singles Mulder and Scully and Road Rage, and was one of the biggest selling albums of the year, as well as nominated for the Mercury Prize (won by Gomez).
