On this Day in Music – 29th November

2000’s

The English musician and former lead guitarist of The Beatles, George Harrison died from lung cancer at a friend’s home in Los Angeles on this day 2001.  Harrison, “the quiet Beatle” wrote songs such as While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes the Sun and Something.  Harrison also released the solo triple album All Things Must Pass.
