On this Day in Music – 26th November

1930’s

The American, now Swiss, singer Tina Turner was born on this day 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee. Turner is known as the ‘Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ and found fame with Ike & Tina Turner, before having a successful solo career with popular albums such as Private Dancer and Foreign Affair.
