The 4th studio LP by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, With Teeth, features songs about alcohol and drugs addiction and the road to sobriety. Includes the singles The Hand That Feeds, Only, and Every Day Is Exactly the Same. Solid effort.

The new album Half Moon Light by The Lone Bellow was produced by the National’s Aaron Dressner. Mojo described the band “It’s where Elbow and Springsteen intersect.” A return to form as the last LP didn’t resonate for me.

No.902 24/02/2019

The 1969 Joe South album, Games People Play, is 50 years old this year! Following the unexpected success of the single with the same name, the LP was a rush release. However, more haste equals superb country-soul-rock in this case. Includes Hush, made popular by Deep Purple.

No.537 24/02/2018

Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac eponymous debut album is 50 years old today! Apparently it’s the band’s only album not to feature Christine McVie in any capacity. A triumph for the British Blues, includes cover of Elmore James’s Shake Your Moneymaker.
