1960’s

1968The Beatles released the White Album. The double-LP was their 9th studio album, with most of the material written while studying Transcendental Meditation in Rishikesh, India. The album includes Back in the U.S.S.R, Dear Prudence, Blackbird, Birthday, Helter Skelter and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

1950’s

1955Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and his Comets began the first of two 3-week spells at the top of the UK Singles Chart. The song has become synonymous with rebellious 1950s youth.
