1993Meat Loaf’s I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) began a 7-week reign at the top of the UK Singles Chart. The song was written by John Steinman, and was cut in length from 12 minutes to around 5-and-a-half for the single.

1960’s

1961Helen Shapiro’s ‘Walkin’ Back To Happiness began a 3-week reign at the top of the UK Singles Chart. The song was Shapiro’s only US chart appearance, but charted at 100 on the Billboard Hot 100.
