On this Day in Music – 15th October

The American musician Richard Carpenter was born on this day 1946 at Grace-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Alongside his sister Karen Carpenter, they formed The Carpenters. The duo had numerous hit singles and albums before Karen died in 1983.
