1970’s

Tickets for ABBA’s forthcoming shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London go on sale on this day 1976. There were 11,000 seats available but 3.5 million applications were received.

1980’s

ABBA perform live in public for the last time on this day 1982. They sing I Have A Dream and Under Attack on the Noel Edmonds’ The Late, Late Breakfast Show via a satellite link from a TV studio in Stockholm.

The 2nd Richard and Linda Thompson I Want To See The Bright Lights, released in 1974, is now considered a masterpiece. It was recorded on a budget and is now a folk classic.
